TuneUp Systems

Does anyone have any experience with the TuneUp system for training intonation? I have been looking at this but I wanted to see if anybody had some real world experience with it.

Thanks,
Steve

Re: TuneUp Systems

Steve,

There was a topic on TuneUp several years ago and I wrote about my impressions in this post. I think it’s a very good product! Singing the exercises is just as beneficial as playing them on your instrument.

I hope this helps.

Re: TuneUp Systems

Derek,

Thank you so much for your review. It was the information I was looking for.

Anyone have experience using TuneUp in the band classroom?

Re: TuneUp Systems

Skuni,

We have used the TuneUp system here at the university for all four concert bands and have found it to be very useful. I have also used it with an adult community band and seen great results.

We usually just use the basic exercises with the I-V-I and scales, but have seen the bands awareness of pitch and centering make significant improvements.

I am a believer!

Bill

Re: TuneUp Systems

Hi:

I already have and use the "Tuning CD". Should I abandon this in favor of "Tune-up"? Anyone have first hand experience with both?
thanks
