| Valve Alignment? So, I always hear a lot about guys having a valve alignment done to their horns, but then i realized that i don't really know how the procedure works or what it's benefits are...can anyone fill me in?? Thanks, PSH |

| Re: Valve Alignment? All these services mention aligning the valves vertically. Can they be aligned horizontally as well? I looked at one of my horns (just the second valve of course) and noticed that it's more out of whack from left to right as opposed to up and down (which the above described valve alignments correct). It seems to me the only way to fix it horizontally would be to make valve guides that have the little notches that fit into the grooves in the sides however many degrees necessary to the left or right of where they normally are. Or, I guess you could unsolder the valve where the spring section meets the tubing section and resolder it to the correct alignment - that seems pretty tricky though. Is this making any sense? |
