A while back there was a thread on here about warm up routines.
I posted that I have a pretty long warm up using Clark.

I got a PM basically saying that I was overdoing it.

That being said:

I was reading the ITG journal this morning and there is an article in there written by Micheal Sachs about Navigating an Orchestra Season.

He talks about warming up the same way on his B-flat regardless of what he has to play with the orchestra. About 45 minutes.

My warm up doesn't take 45 minutes but I don't play at his level. I think mine is about 15 minutes when I can sit and play. A lot of times I don't have time because of my day job.

When I can warm up, I find that I play better.

Interesting thing (for those that aren't in ITG) he begins and ends his day on the B-flat
