Cornet / 1st horn at Shrewsbury Brass Band
Flugelhorn at Cleobury Mortimer Brass Band
What? Nobody carries a small dog with them for between sets?
Now here is were it gets a bit interesting:
Two pairs of Hanes mens briefs
Two pairs of sox
A pair of mens slacks
One dress shirt with matching tie
A Remington electric shaver
An assortment of medications to keep me alive on my trip
Ban roll on deoderent
Shower to Shower bath powder (want to smell pretty for the ladies)
Contact lens solution and case
A spare set of glasses (want to be able to see the ladies - oh yes and conference materials)
A tooth brush (for my teeth, not my valves)
And Crest toothpaste
Yep... saved $50 total on this trip thanks to the side bags that Torpedo makes for their cases.
On the return trip, the men's underwear goes in a zip lock bag... but I guess the valve oil would keep the scent under control... Hmmmm

Nobody has learned how to play the trumpet. It's endless. - Maynard Ferguson
Don't be afraid to try something different. The Ark was built by an amateur and the Titanic was built by a group of experienced engineers.
By the inch it's a cinch, by the yard, it's hard!
A bit late, but in my trumpet case I typically have the following:
-Spit rag (to keep my students's floors dry)
-Trumpet Stand (fits in bell of horn)
-Silver polishing cloth
Mutes are kept in a separate mute bag - don't usually take with me unless needed
- Valve oil
- and a rag.
Mouthpiece sits in a moutpiece bag and i have it on me not in the case.
Mutes are in a separate bag.

I have a cloth protec triple, which is great. Always carry a trumpet and cornet. It has a detachable mute bag and I haul straight, harmon, cup and plumber's friend. In two of the bands I play in require me to carry a stand, so the big side pocket works fine for a metal fold up. Stuff in each end pocket include several trumpet and cornet mp. tuner, valve oils, etc. Pencils go in pockets with in the large zippered side pocket and music folder goes in slit pocket in the other side. I have a good strap to sling it, if necessary. It does get pretty bulky sometimes.
