 | Re: Arutunian Concerto I've seen it spelled and pronounced a bunch of different ways, Arutiunian (on the Concerto), Arutyunyan (on the Theme and Variations), Harutiunian, Harutyunyan, with strange symbols, etc etc etc. As per the Dokshitzer recording (who's name is also spelled and pronounced multiple ways), the ITG put out a CD a while back called "Russian Treasures" which is a good amount of Russian music which Dokshitzer recorded, FANTASTIC CD, and at $10, VERY inexpensive considering what you're getting. Or, see if your local college's music program might have it in their arsenal. Good luck, VERY hard piece, IMO. |
