The Dutch Guy will become famous soon enough
audition for rock band something - piece needed

here's the situation:
I'm a first year student at the Nijmegen's faculty of medical science (Netherlands), and they have a band consisting of guitars, keyboard, drums, and 1 saxophone, trombone and trumpet. I'm auditioning for the trumpet part.

they told me that I could pick whatever piece I wanted, but obviously I want to leave a good first impression. A classical piece might be kinda out of place here, and so would jazz. too bad I don't have anything other than that...

SO... I need a piece for the audition. It doesn't have to be difficult, or high for that matter. Does anyone have a piece that might do the trick here? (auditions are next monday, by the way, so not too difficult)

Blood Sweat and Tears Spinning Wheel?

Hey man, it is rock music. Bring your own microphone, have high and loud worked out.

there is also something worthwhile!

Chicago (Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is or Free)
Blood Sweat or Tears (spinning Wheel)
Tower of Power (Squib Cakes)
Earth Wind & Fire (In the Stone)

I'd take a recording of the group you choose and play along.
Chicago would be my pick. Its got a neat trumpet solo.

September - Earth Wind and Fire has a couple tricky licks above the staff that are exposed and must be played right on a gig.

Also the intro section of Proud Mary - Tina Turner, that needs to be nailed.

I'll think of a few more...
