| Pianissimo User | Bach Contrapunctus IX Could someone give me a little background on Contrapunctus 9 and how the trumpet part is for a probably grade 6 piece. Our band director is considering it for our winter concert. |

| As a solo? It has been transcribed as a quintet piece, but I have never heard of it as a solo... how would it be contrapuntal? Oh, I just re-read your question. Would he be doing a band arrangement of it? that would be interesting |
