  | Bach Contrapunctus IX Could someone give me a little background on Contrapunctus 9 and how the trumpet part is for a probably grade 6 piece. Our band director is considering it for our winter concert. |

| As a solo? It has been transcribed as a quintet piece, but I have never heard of it as a solo... how would it be contrapuntal? Oh, I just re-read your question. Would he be doing a band arrangement of it? that would be interesting  |

| I don't know where he got it. If I find out I will inform you though. What is the theme of it. I heard it's not the Ode to Joy theme, but that it was another famous one. |
