Re: best russian music

The best russian music I heard once when I was in Novosibirsk. it was winter and I was walking down the street to my hotel freezing! (no taxis in site). I heard an accordian and a couple of loud voices. They saw me through the window and asked me to come in. I don't speak russian and they didn't speak english, but we managed. That night I learned that with two russians and one bottle of vodka, you have a complete choir!

I am sure that their vodka altered my genes, but that was the most beautiful russian music in my life!

Re: best russian music

I'll vote for the old Red Army Band and Chorus. Nothing like the power of that chorus, and those tenors! Kalinka!
