![]() | Big Youth Orchestra Audition If any of you haven't seen my previous posts in other forums, i am a high school player who plays in the Youth Orchestras at New England Conservatory. I am currently in the Youth Symphony Orchestra and i am preparing for my call-back audition for Youth Philharmonic Orhcestra which is the highest orchestra at NEC. This orchestra is very famous and has a few CD's out there and it would be amazing for me to get in. For my audition I am going to be playing The first two movements of the Hummel concerto and excerpts from Mahler's 5th Symphony. (The conductor of this ensemble is very into Mahler/Wagner/Stravinsky type stuff). I wanted to know of any helpful hints any of you more experienced orchestral players have in big auditions espescially with such difficult and strenuous repetoire. I appreciate would the help.
