Yes. Mark Adler has published a version of the last movement with his own company. He's a player in the Twin Cities and has recently stared publishing on his own.

Robert D Weast did a piano reduction of the 1st movement. It was published by Mcginnis and Marx.

Why would anyone wish to destroy a great piece of music by taking one of the work's components and making that part the focus of the work It is not a trumpet concerto.

I used the Trumpet & Organ version (from Mark Adler) when somebody wanted it for their wedding. It took a lot of work getting the organ and trumpet to sound like the orchestral version, but it worked fairly well.

Saying that - I am in complete agreement with Wilmer - it shouldn't be done.

There's other people playing along with the trumpet?!?!

The last time I played it I couldn't hear anyone else!!!! Maybe because my head was about to "splode"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good point....I have performed it with a small orchestra (I do realize that the trumpet isnt the only one that matters...) I was looking to play it in brass class at school...NOT in a recital setting. Im not trying to destroy the piece. I do realize that pieces like this should be performed as Bach intended

Personally, i don't have that big a problem with it as I see that it's a good way to practice the piece with another musician. You can't always get a quartet of folks together and this is a good tool for learning the piece before you give a bona fide performance somewhere.
