John P has a spectacular aura about
Bud Plays Mahler 5

YouTube - Adolph Herseth plays Mahler No.5

Awesome video, although it's interesting that the description is "Adoph Herseth plays Mahler Symphony No. 5" and not "Chicago Sympony plays Mahler Symphony No. 5"

There's only one reason I can think of as to why someone would label a video as such. The poster must be a trumpet player!

Re: Bud Plays Mahler 5

That is a model for a Bb trumpet sound........or was it a C trumpet playing a Bb part......was the sound too bright to be a Bb........was the sound to dark to be a C. Should he have played a Bb.......what would that sound like. Is there a Bb sound......a C sound?
Let's hear some answers.

My thought was how would Wynton have done it?

Wynton would have played it great! He is one of the most gifted players of all times.

Is there a sound that can be said to be a Bb sound?

1.I don't have a D
2. I am not that caliber artist.
3. I wish I were but then I would not be who I am.
