Carmina score

hey guys,

I'm playing lead on Carmina Burana in a few weeks and wanted to pick up a score. I found a study score from Schott for about $130. That's a little steep for me... There's also a study score, but it looks like it's actually a companion book from what I can gather from the Amazon listing. Anyone have any leads for a moderately priced orchestral score (or want to get rid of an old one)?

Thanks,
Jimi

Re: Carmina score

Carmina Burana is still in copyright so probably not going to be able to get an inexpensive full score for it.

Re: Carmina score

You could try one of the large used bookseller hubs like Alibris or Abe books. A quick search on Alibris brings this up:

Alibris: carmina burana - 8976384216

Looks like a decent deal for the Eulenburg study score, which actually looks like what the Amazon listing is for as well but all of the reviews are talking about this book:

Carmina Burana: Cantiones Profanae

I think this is Amazon's mistake as all of the Product details for the listing you linked to definitively describe the score and not the book. I've noticed that Amazon frequently has problems with scores that are not from Dover.

Yes, I've seen that. The contractor included the link in the email he sent to the orchestra a few days ago
