![]() | Clark's "Bride of the Waves" Hey Colleagues, I have another question. Does anyone have or know of a contemporary recording of Clark's "Bride of the Waves?" I got a recording of Clark doing it himself along with several of his other "gems," including two performances of the "Carnival of Venice." It's great, but I want another more contemporary recording of it to share with one of my trumpet students who will be doing it in May. Any suggestions? John |

![]() | Re: Clark's "Bride of the Waves" Gerard Schwarz did do a rendition of it on the Cornet Favorites Album. He performs it with piano. There is also a recording of it done by Leonard B. Smith. Mr. Smith performs it with concert band. That is an excellent CD by the way. He was one of the great American Cornet Soloists. Also and excellent conductor and arranger. Go to the Walking Frog Records website. They have that CD. As an aside, the Bride of the Waves was Clarke's first solo composition. He gave it to Arthur Pryor to give him some critical feedback. |
