Epic of Gilgamesh

Does anyone know anything about this piece by Martinu? (NOT the band piece of the same title by Rumbelow...). Is this an opera, a choral oratorio type piece? Anyone played it? When was it composed?

And what does anyone know about Martinu? Is he still alive?

I came across this kind of by accident...via one of my students, actually (how cool is THAT?)

Glenn,
It's actually an oratorio in Czech. The Epic of Gilgamesh was written in 1955 and Martinu died in 1959. He pulls inspiration from many genres including Jazz, Debussy, and Stravinsky. He likes the piano.....a lot.
