| New Friend | Hear my Haydn performance! Hello to everyone! My twin (a bass trombone player.... brrrrrrrrr) asked me to record Haydn trumpet concerto because he thinks all my other pieces on my website are "boring" (he does note practice exercises, you know...) I didn't care for pause measures for obvious reasons! I used a Yamaha 6610S II, tell me if you like the sound of it! http://www.webalice.it/anrapa/Temp/H...1%20of%203.mp3 Ciao! |

![]() ![]() ![]() | So serious Haydn is about joy. Sing that initial statement of the tune.Make those half notes sparkle. The eighth notes that follow are moving toward the third measure. The bottom line is that you are playing a much heavier Haydn than I think is warranted by the music. Have fun and let the listener in on your happiness. Wilmer |

| New Friend | Thank you very much! I will try to record it again in these days (I listened to some recordings I have and they are generally faster and "happier" than my version) Very appreciated! |

Wilmer I am going to incorporate your advice in my own playing. Thank you much. I think that I have had a tendency for many years to play too serious and stiff when I play by myself; such as in auditions. | |
