| Forte User | Re: help with music theory please Hello and welcome to the forums! First of all, none of us are masters of the English language but please try to use proper capitalization, spelling (tiz iznt ur txtn plc, k? lol)puncuation, sentence structure, etc... It will honestly help all of us to better understand your questions. For some people on here, English is a second language and we all need to try to help them understand better. Now, to address your question: Several of us on this website have entensive knowledge in theory, plus you'll always get the advice of the general masses. If you have specific questions, just post them here and people will try to explain it to you in a myrid of different ways upon hopefully, one in which you will understand! Take care and welcome aboard!

![]() ![]() | Re: help with music theory please musictheory.com Also, I'd memorize the Cycle 4ths and 5ths . Once you do that, you can see how progressions go together. The cycle is a pretty cool device and easy to memorize if you can spell BEAD twice. C, F, (Bb Eb Ab Db) F# (B E A D) G You can readily tease out what's needed for the ii V7 I by looking at any three letters. (C F Bb) (F Bb Eb) (Bb Eb Ab) and so on |
