 | Italian Operas (4 trumpets) What are some popular Italian Operas that are scored for 4 trumpets? I need this for the story that I’m writing for the Eclipse contest. Thanks!

| Re: Italian Operas (4 trumpets) If you include Banda trumpets you have more to choose from: off the top of my head are Boheme, Turandot, Rigoletto, and Aida, in addition to Otello.

Would the players covering the banda parts arrive before the first act, or would they get there just as the intermission between Act I and II was starting? I guess I could have the banda player(s) downstairs in a practice room prior to the start of Act I so that they would be available for a brief discussion before the opera starts. Details, details...
