LA Phil audition experience

First of all, a giant thank you to all of you who participated in our recent auditions. We appreciate the amount of time you put into preparing for them, and the fact that you sacrifice the time and money coming to us.

In the interest of making the process as smooth as possible, I would appreciate it if you could share with me any problems you might have encountered, either before, during or after, so that we may work to improve the way we conduct these auditions.

Please send these via PM, as my guess is that there may be some complaints, and names may be involved. I assure you that your name will not be linked to your comments.

Thanks for your time and input.

Jim

I would say it is "my pleasure" but we have had some problems that need to be fixed. Thanks to all who respond.

Jim-

Would you be able to post a "generic" summary of some of the problems? I think there are a few presenters and/or educators on here that would enjoy learning from your experiences w/ this audition situation.

thanks.

Most of what I am hearing has to do with logistics - that's about all I can really say at this point.

Thanks.
