Man, that's so sweet it should be illegal to play that well. Someone should arrest that player!

That's our friend, Nick D aka Nick Drozdoff playing. For a physics teacher, da man has chops! (but what would you expect from a M.F. alumnus?) You can hear more of him by going to mp3unsigned.com and doing a search for artist "Drozdoff".

Nick has a ton more of stuff at ampcast.com ; again, just search for "Drozdoff" to find it all. (when does he have time to mark papers?)

Nick, I'd love to "hear" you repost some of Junkyard Brass clips!

"Bootiful" sound, as people in my neck of the woods would say! Real even, controlled, sonorous. Makes me sick.

Another guy with a great sound who is on ampcast is Bart Brady Ciampa. You need to check his sound out as well.

Something's wrong if that guy isn't playing trumpet for a living.
He's that good!

You can read more about Nick at http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/3941/ .

He was posting a bit of a blog for a while but I lost my link to it. It's a very introspective (and worthwhile) look at why he went from full-time music to full-time teaching/part-time music. Nick, if you're reading this, please repost the link to that.

What key of horn do you guys think he's using? It sounds like a higher horn to me, but I'm the biggest amateur when it comes to classical right now.
