Mahler 3

Manny,

Seeing Mahler 3 on the schedule for October got me wondering. What do you play the posthorn solo on? My screen name should give away what I have tried it on the the practice room.

thanks

I have an old Alexander rotary D trumpet in whuch I usually put a flugelhorn mouthpiece. I've used that for a long time but I don't know what I'll do this time. I can get it to work because I have one of Jack Holland's "Pitch Finder"'s on it. Maybe I'll use flugelhorn this time.

I'll let you know.

Manny, you should get Dave to send you a flumpet for the off-stage solo, I bet that would be nice for the piece.
