Minnesota Orchestra in NY Times

Big article today (Sunday, 12/17) in the Times asks if the Minnesota Orchestra is the most important in the country. Very positive, though they seem to have missed the real reason why ----

Thanks, that was a nice article. I think it was a timely "in your face" in light of the recent "Big Five" article that came out in the NY Sun where we were conspicuous by our absence.

Oestereich was very acknowledging of what's been going on here. I hope he, one day, invests a bit more time in this community and checks out the huge variety of musical goings-on. It's pretty impressive if I do say so.

Yes, that IS a Minnesota Youth Symphonies T-shirt he was wearing that day!
