| Pianissimo User | Mouthpiece switch in auditions Hi Manny, Do you see a problem with switching mouthpieces in an audition for Mahler 3? I have a deep V cup trumpet shank mouthpiece to play that on (and sometimes Schumann 2), but I always feel self conscious about changing in front of judges. What do you think? |

| They truly don't care as long as you do it relatively quickly and get on with it after you've made the switch. Show them how it's not a big deal for you to do so. Show them that's it's just your way to make the music more beautiful. ML |

| Pianissimo User | Just an update: Dean at Monette made me a C2FL with a trumpet shank. It's great. Mahler 3 is finally made easy because I don't have to feel "held back" to get that distant sound. It's with the new, shallower Flumpet cup so the sound isn't too dull. Great mouthpiece! |
