| Fortissimo User | Mozart In honour of Mozart's 250th, the CBC has sponsored a competition for kids in which they have to write and perform variations on "A Girl or a Little Wife" from "The Magic Flute". Anyone can vote for their favourite and the winner receives a $1,000 prize. Very cool, considering that it was open only to kids. You can hear the 10 finalists and vote for your fav. at http://www.cbc.ca/mozart/contest.html . I encourage you to give them a listen, post your comments, and vote. There are some really neat and interesting thoughts in there. As much as I like the trumpet player's work I'm really torn between about three or four which includes the rapper! (Yup... rap). What you think? |
