 | need recommendations for NTC junior division concerto My 12 yr old kid wants to go to the NTC in March, 2010. He needs some recommendations on what to prepare. He has a big sound, range reliably up to D (maybe Eb) above the staff, good at double and triple tonguing. Currently working on Carnival of Venice from Arban's, and the Flor Peeters sonata, 3rd mvmt (he's fine on the 1st and 2nd mvmts). He is pretty dogged, practices hard, self motivated. Has a good teacher locally. Anyone have any recommendations for him? He's the first brass player in the family, so we're not familiar with the repertoire. |
