Buy it at:

http://www.halleonard.com/product/vi...pe=instruments

or try your local music store. If you can't buy the orchestral score you are likely to get it on hire from the publisher.

Re: Pakhmutova Concerto for Trumpet & Orchestra

Thats just the trumpet part and piano reduction , which i already have...Thanks. But I was not trying to get it on hire... I'd much rather own the parts, and get it on hire when/if i get ready to perform it. I wanted to have our group read through it and get a feel for it.

If the publisher doesn't sell the orchestra accompaniment (send an email inquiry) you can do nothing else but hire...or look online for a clandestine pdf version...not quite correct though.

You're not looking hard enough ;)

Sometimes trying to find parts goes beyond the publisher.

Re: Pakhmutova Concerto for Trumpet & Orchestra

Okay i've already gone to "Pakhmutova.ru" and found the score but there are two editions. That one is the 1978 edition. I am looking for the score for the 1955 version that Bibi black played. Particularly the band score; however ill take the orchestral score.

I thought the purpose of this site is to help other players. If you know where to find it, then just help, otherwise it kinda sucks to give the impression that "I know something that dont and im not telling you...ha ha ha"

Nevertheless I thank you guys, who have taken time out to reply to my thread. If by chance you can assist me further, please feel free to contact me.

Re: Pakhmutova Concerto for Trumpet & Orchestra

You didn't specify which edition you wanted. Yes, the site is to help people, but not to just hand you a source to free music (let alone an entire concerto score), which is what I would have been doing...

Now that you have a version of the score, download Finale and do an arrangement of it for whichever you need. Sure its time consuming, but it gets you where you need to go. Considering she put the pdf on her site, I don't think she'd have a problem with you freely arranging it, so long as you didn't make profit etc.
