Re: Phil Collins-Cincinnati Symphony

Thanks for sharing Mr. Collins' blog. There's a lot of great advice on trumpet playing as well as his take on life as well.

I loved Phil Collins when he was with Genesis!

His latest post has a pretty interesting note about Bob Sullivan and the Cincinnati Symphony job! Congratulations Mr. Sullivan!

Congratulations, Mark Inouye

Today on a cold dreary January day in Cincinnati, Mark Inouye of the San Francisco Symphony won the principal trumpet position in the CSO. What a time to play an audition, only days after the Christmas vacation break! I think therein lies a good lesson. Be ready, for in a day that you choose not, you'll need to play your best! Congratulations to Mark!

It is my understanding that Inouye won but expressed interest in Principal Trumpet in San Fran and would not commit to the CSO. The CSO did not like that. Bob Sullivan gets the job.
