Playing a solo

Manny,

If you were going to play a solo in front of the orchestra and play something like Arutunian or Hindemith; would you use B flat or C trumpet?

B15,

I use the Bb for both pieces. In general I like to use the instrument that a piece is written for when it comes to solo repertoire.
