![]() | Principal Trumpet of the Hartford Symphony Just passing along information. Jay Lichtmann, Principal Trumpet of the Hartford Symphony was involved in a very serious bicycle accident this past Wednesday. I will be keeping Jay, a good friend, and his family in my thoughts and prayers. The link is to the story that appeared in the "Hartford Courant." http://www.courant.com/news/local/hc...eadlines-local |

![]() | Thanks BM15. That is good news. Jay and I knew each other many years ago in school. In fact he was the guy who first recommended Birkentock shoes to me (he wore them constantly). They are still the most comfy shoes imaginable, and I was always grateful to Jay to have been hipped to them way back in the late 70s. Occasionally Jay would have fellow brass players over to his folks' house in Northridge, California, and I was shown gracious hospitality by him and his parents, not to mention a beautiful swimming pool and outdoor jacuzzi. Though I haven't seen him since the early 80s, it still comes as a great relief that he appears to be on his way to a full recovery. |
