| Recommend a grade 4 solo for audition? A Friend of mine is auditioning for a position with a band and needs help picking out a piece to prepare. Honestly, I'm not sure if she can handle a piece of this level but that's what the audition requires...so, any suggestions on a grade 4 piece that isn't too technically challenging and avoids the extreme upper register? |

| Forte User | Re: Recommend a grade 4 solo for audition? Petite Piece Concertante by Guillame Balay. Highest note is a G above mid-C. This piece focuses a lot on sound (its French, lol). And some valve combos in the 2nd movement that may be tricky. Awesome piece and very impressive if done correctly. Van |

| Forte User | Re: Recommend a grade 4 solo for audition? I've seen the rating go as far as 7. The Charlier I believe. 6 is Rustiques and Artunian. .....Fantasie Brilliante from the Arban? Pretty sure thats a 4.... Van |
