Recorded a practice session this afternoon...

I was horsing around with some brass quartets while I was practicing a bit this afternoon. I decided to record these two short pieces by Couperin on a total lark.

I slapped these together with a banged up old cornet I had near my desk and my bass trumpet.

Enjoy them while they're there. I think I'm going to do a bunch of these as a diversion from the jazz CD project, just to keep my head in the legit game a little bit.

Peace, all.

Nick

Re: Recorded a practice session this afternoon...

Nick, that was really really good - I feel embarassed commenting on it because of my inferiority to you, but, fwiw, I'm a big fan: I have your No Man is an Island CD and it's my driving music - I love to listen to it when I'm in the car!

Again, fwiw, thanks very much for this post, I'd never heard those particular Couperin pieces before.

Chris.

Nick, thanks for posting. I really like! Fun stuff.

As I was listening to the 1st movement, I was recollecting "Joy Ride" by Andre, 2 lp's I belive. I could hear the Couperin with a swing to it.

Thanks Again,

Richard Oliver
