Ryan Anthony...MONSTER!

For those of you who don't already know his playing, check out Ryan Anthony...one of the greatest all-around trumpeters I have ever met and worked with. He does everything from playing principal trumpet with the Dallas Symphony, to soloing with orchestras and organ to high E flat cornet with Brass Band Battle Creek to the Canadian Brass...I don't know how he does it!

Ryan epitomizes everything that the next generation of classical brass players should be...well-rounded at the highest level of virtuosity! I've also never heard anybody actually get stronger toward the end of the night...a trait that I have only ever seen in Ryan and Tony DiLorenzo (another trumpet animal!!!)...it figures that the two of them used to play in the Center City Brass Quintet. Further, I challenge anyone to tell me that they know another trumpet player in the world who has played 2 feet away from Shamu the Killer Whale! He also does a killer two-step while playing Amazing Grace.

Yup, Ryan can play...

John P has a spectacular aura about
I heard him on the Canadian Brass "Amazing Brass" CD as well as on their "Three Nights" DVD. INCREDIBLE! Not only is he a technical wizard but he's got a gorgeous, pure tone and is one of the most stylistically sensitive trumpeters I've heard.

Ryan's a monster indeed. IMHO, you and Ryan formed the best trumpet duo in Canadian Brass.

I'll check him out. Did I, also, perhaps see you in the ITG magazine? Your name sounds familiar.
