![]() | The section was: Glantz, Prager, Vacchiano AT Debussy 1936 part 1 of 2.zip AT Debussy 1936 part 2 of 2.zip mono MP3s ALL DEBUSSY PROGRAM Le Cour de Lys Le Martyre de Saint-Sebastein Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun Nuages & Fetes Iberia La Demoiselle Elue w/Bidu Sayao, Rose Bampton, Women's chorus of Schola Cantorum La Mer April 1936 Toscanini NY Phil Carnegie Hall Live CBS or the NY Phil did not record the NY Phil concerts, at this time. This was recorded off of an am radio in an apartment of a private user with amateur recording equipment onto acetate discs. Eschewing the way of the major and minor recording companies which is an attempt to modernize the recording to today's standards, I went the other way. I denoised and equalized with Music as the goal, not audio. No fake stereo or reverb was added and the Musical Nuances that make a Toscanini performance what it was, was paramount. I think it sounds pretty good despite starting with such a poor source. The true ambience of Carnegie Hall is quite clear as is the "oneness" of Toscanini and the NY Phil NY Phil Principals Michel Piastro Cocnermaster Alfred Wallenstein or Joseph Schuster Cello John Amans Flute Bruno Labate Oboe Simeon Bellison Clarinet Benjamin Kohon Fagott Bruno Jaenicke Horn Harry Glantz Trumpet Mario Falcone Trombone V Vanni Tuba Saul Goodman Timpani The length of the program? Toscanini was a youngster of 69. Enjoy Abbedd |
