Both Tom Crown and Denis Wick offer mutes (str. and cup) specifically
for Eb/D trumpets on the condition the Eb bell has the same taper as the
D bell. This is true in the case of the E3L (and the Stomvi Elite). Both
Crown and Wick call it a "D Trumpet mute" but they do fit an Eb bell.

I know that the Wick ones were tested on a Schilke E3L bell when they were in pre-production (as well as a Yamaha Eb/D and a Besson soprano cornet) and they work very well.
