| Forte User | Tchaikovsky Pathetique Manny and other active players- I have begun working on this excerpt recently. Which horn do you usually use on this? Bb, C or do you use a D? (Also, what factors do you consider to help you make your horn choice?) Any tips? (Tempo ranges would be helpful!) Thanks! |

| Glenn, At this point in my career, the C trumpet is my choice for 99% of the repertoire, Tchaikovsky 6th included. Having said that, the D is a very nice choice especially for endurance issues in the 3rd movement. ML |
