 | Transposing parts Last night I played with the local symphony. The one thing That I got to play was 1812. I have read a lot of stuff on here on what trumpet to play, C or B flat and all that but; While I was there playing I started to think, Why did Tchaikovsky write it for E flat trumpet? Was the C trumpet not invented yet or did he write for the sound he wanted? |
