| Trumpet Solo with Orchestra? I have been asked to possibly play a solo with an orchestra I play with. The strings aren't the strongest in the world but I have been trying to find something that I could use as a competition submission other then the Haydn/Hummel. Also, it would be nice if all the parts didn't cost a fortune since we are a small orchestra, not a lot of money. Just trying to think of some ideas. Thanks for any suggestions!! Adam Metzler |

| I played the Lars Erik Larsson 'Concertino' for some auditions last year - it's quite a simple piece (trumpet part is pretty easy), but it was written I believe for an amateur orchestra in Sweden, so the string parts are nice and simple. Nice piece too. |
