A Trumpeter's Lullaby

Also due to popular demand, I have added what many believe to be the definitive recording of "A Trumpeter's Lullaby" on the James Burke website. Enjoy!

Re: A Trumpeter's Lullaby

lol, I opened the site and almost every recording was playing at the same time. Sounded like a poorly rehearsed free improvisation group. On a more serious note: Beautiful recording

There has to be another solution. I am as up-to date as possible (Safari 3.0.2, OS X 10.4.10, Flip4Mac 2.1.1.70) Nothing I have tried works. Charles Ives lives Maybe Mark can post it separately.

Re: A Trumpeter's Lullaby

I got some of it to work on my G4 powermac (OSX 10.2.10) using an old version of internet explorer(5.2.2). Not all of the pieces were playable though.

Re: A Trumpeter's Lullaby

I opened it right up. No problems. On a PC running XP.
Maybe the spirit of Mr. Ives only likes MAC's.....

First time I'm hearing this recording of Bugler's Holiday. I love the trumpet sounds... but I'd like to pop the drummer in the head with his sticks!

Great site! Thanks for sharing all this with us. I was a student of Gil Mitchell (pictured with Jimmy). He has told us great stories about Ernest Williams and the summer camps.

Re: A Trumpeter's Lullaby

Dear Trumpet Master forum posters,

I have contacted customer support and here's the remedy:

"Please note that this occurs if the user has their default media player set to play automatically. That is why some users may find the files are loading automatically where as in some cases they do not load automatically."

Sorry for any inconvenience,

Mark

Re: A Trumpeter's Lullaby

I disabled Flip4Mac........now it really doesn't work, the whole browser shuts down when I go to the Tribute page.
