Re: Vincent J. Abato

I worked with Jimmy on quite a few gigs.
We played the Robert Starer "Concerto a tré" on a Brooklyn Philharmonic youth concert series. John Swallow was the trombone player in the solo trio. Jimmy used to make John crazy by talking softly while we were standing there in front of the orchestra. John was busy counting, and Jimmy was a major distraction. We laughed about it when the gig was over. David Amram was the conductor of our Three Horn Circus
Here's more about an incredible guy.
Victor Morosco: Teachers: Vincent Abato
Rest in Peace.
