![]() | Wedding gigs in Twin Cities Here's a question for players in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. What is a typical fee for playing at weddings? Greg PS - Please PM me if you aren't comfortable sharing in public.

![]() ![]() | Re: Wedding gigs in Twin Cities Greg-- I was there from 2005-2008 and I usually charged about $150, more if they wanted me there for a rehearsal. It was lower than what I was making in Boston, but you could also get a decent apartment in Minneapolis for $500 a month, so I didn't complain. -Jimi

![]() ![]() | Re: Wedding gigs in Twin Cities I was starting to have a lot of trouble finding enough work and students to pay the bills in MSP. I got an opportunity to work as a private teacher at a couple of districts here in Ft. Worth, as well as an assistantship that pays me to finish my masters degree, so I figured Tejas would be a nice place to ride out the recession. Plus, I've always wanted to live abroad... -Jimi

![]() | Re: Wedding gigs in Twin Cities Ah. We (myself, wife, kids) lived down there, moved back to MN in 1999. It has its good points and bad like anywhere, I guess. Greg
