Re: Who is your favourite classical trumpeter of all time?

Huggy is also pretty down with Mr. Mark Gould, David Bilger and Armando Ghitalla. That's my top five.....and a guy named "Bud" gets an honorable mention.

In general I don't think that people around here are aware enough of the trumpet playing, teaching and artistry of Armando Ghitalla. Mr. Ghitalla was one of the most important musicians of the 20th Century. He was promoting the trumpet as a solo classical instrument before peeps here even knew the name Maruice Andre. And....he was one of the classiest, smoothest trumpet pimps of all time.....Fo' Shizzle!

Love,
Huggy Daddy

Sorry, all, and thanks for your philological efforts, but the "shitzer" at the end of Ed's quote would imply an Australian origin, I believe.
