WILLIAM LOVELOCK - CONCERTO William Lovelock Concerto - Has anyone heard this performed lately? I found one Australian recording of it on the web done by Geoffrey Payne. I had heard that there was a recording of Doc doing it. Any comments ?? Thanks.

Just received the CD I ordered of Geoffrey Payne doing the Lovelock. If any of you don't have this CD I recommend it. It's a double CD with a good assortment of pieces including the Tomasi, Haydn, Hummel, Aratunian and of course the Lovelock.

HD, Correct. He IS a great ... real "balls out" player (sorry for the crued expression)... I've renewed my interest in the Lovelock and now really wish I could hear Doc doing it.... he is also a "let it fly" type of player that the concerto seems to demand. He does a nice job on the Arutunian too. It's sad Australia is on the other side of the world....
