| Piano User | Your "First Time" (to the Pros out there) Howdy all, I was just wondering when some of you more experienced players got your big break, that is to say first time asked to sub in with a major symphony, play in a pit for a big production, etc. Were you still in school, undergrad, grad, when did it happen, where did it happen, how did they get your name? I haven't caught my big break (yet I hope), but again, just curiosity, feel free to give us the story! |

A couple of weeks later came Carmina Burana and then connections through a community orchestra and then came an Army Band in Germany where my trumpet teacher introduced me to more contacts. |
