Back at the Windmark This Thursday...

Folks, for any of you who might be in the Chicago area this Thursday (May 24), I'll be at the Weathermark Tavern at 15th and Michigan from 8:00 PM till 11:00 PM. I play there two Thursdays a month with the Grilly Brothers Jazz Quintet, and when I say jazz, I mean strictly jazz and not the usual stuff! This is a really fun group that plays with abandon, but taste. I think you'll enjoy the band if you drop by.

Also, don't let the word Tavern fool you. This is a nice restaurant bar that serves more of a gourmet cuisine as opposed to standard bar food like burgers and fries. I like their sushi qulity seared tuna steak sandwich, seared on the outside and cool red on the inside (unless you like yours prepared differently) with some really nice sauces applied to taste! mmmmm, good! The prices are all very reasonable, too.

Come on down and have dinner and then hang and listen to the band. PLEASE say hello if you do. I've been meeting folks from TH and TPIN this way. I'd love to meet more TM folks. Our community is smaller and more geographically diverse, so I may not be speaking to too many folks, but if even one of you can make it, I'll count that a bonus evening!

I'll also be playing my NYTC Stage 1 California Light. Feel free to come check it out. It's a lot of fun to play.

Oh, I almost forgot! There is NO COVER charge! Come on down and make an evening of it! I hope to see you there.

Well, I sure hope to meet some of you at the Weathermark Tavern at 15th and Michigan in Chicago, tonight. The band starts playing at 8:00 PM, though I'll be there for dinner and setup between 6:30 and 7:00 PM.

If you like small group jazz, I think you'll enjoy this group. We have a lot of fun and try to play some different music!

If you can be there, I can't thank you enough for supporting live jazz in Chicago!

If you can't be there, I can look forward with great anticipation to meeting you somewhere else at some other time!
