![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Become a Partner in my new CD Project "Meditations" Be a Part of the my new solo CD “Meditations” The time has come to record my new solo CD. I’ve actually already made one day of recording and will have the recording finished in early April. As most of my musician friends and fans know the recording process is never cheap. This current project is a bit less expensive than other projects I‘ve done in the past but even with the lower overhead this project’s budget is about $6000, which includes recoding equipment and fees, hall rental, engineer fees, licensing fees, mastering, artwork and duplication. But it will all be worth it in the end, as we will no doubt end up with a wonderful recording of a new concept I have been working on for a long time. Being an independent recording artist who’s already recorded two compact discs I am financing this record in all the usual ways: mostly my own money, grant money, the kindness of friends and family, etc. But I’ve decided to try something new this time around: micro patronage. Micropatronage is a system in which the public directly supports the work of others by making donations through the Internet. It relies on the premise that it is easier to find many “patrons” to donate small amounts, rather than a small number of patrons making larger contributions. To entice you to become a patron, I have come up with some packages that are all unique to this program. Once the CD is complete it will be sold through all the usual channels, but none of these packages will be available after the release date. It is my hope that you will find one of them interesting enough to be willing to donate a small amount of your hard-earned money to help me complete this project. More details can be found at TrentAustin.com. PARTICIPATION PACKAGES Soloist Package Participants in the Soloist Package will donate $8.50 to the project and will receive: High-quality audio files two to three weeks prior to the official release date of the CD Files will be in your choice of 320k mp3s or Apple Lossless Duo Package Participants in the Duo Package will donate $13.00 to the project and will receive: A copy of the finished CD High-quality audio files two to three weeks to the official release date of the CD Files will be in your choice of 320k mp3s or Apple Lossless Trio Package Participants in the Trio Package will donate $25.00 to the project and will receive: Photos and videos from recording session An autographed copy of the finished CD High-quality audio files two to three weeks prior to the official release date of the CD Files will be in your choice of 320k mp3s or Apple Lossless Quartet Package Participants in the Quartet Package will donate $100.00 to the project and will receive: An invitation to sit in on one of the recording sessions A “Thank You” in the album liner notes Photos and videos from rehearsals and recording session An autographed copy of the finished CD High-quality audio files two to three weeks prior to the official release date of the CD Files will be in your choice of 320k mp3s or Apple Lossless For more info please check out TrentAustin.com With your help I can make this recording possible. I cannot thank you enough for your support you’ve given me throughout the years. I hope that by participating you will feel closer to this special endeavor and I will do everything I can to make it worth your while. |

![]() | Re: Become a Partner in my new CD Project "Meditations" A couple of months ago I was chatting with Brian Lynch, and it seems he went with Artistshare to make his CD with Eddie Palmieri. I think it even won a Grammy! If I had the extra cash, i'd throw it your way. Best of luck!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Become a Partner in my new CD Project "Meditations" Hello everyone! Just a quick update.... The next recording session will be tomorrow, 3/16. Thanks to all of your incredible support I've been able to upgrade this project considerably. Here are some of the key upgrades: 1. I hired a great engineer for the session... Ryan Parker (who helped perform and produce my previous two discs). 2. I'm going to a fantastic studio to record. My friend Ed Gleason's studio here: http://www.maxoutstudios.com/studio/index.htm Ed has a wonderful sounding space as well as great gear (check out the preamps!)! I've recorded there before with fantastic results. Ed will also be assisting me on the session. 3. I've already been in touch with some incredible mastering pros (who win multiple Grammy awards yearly) for post-production. This will be the biggest single expense (they are expensive but worth every penny) but the results will blow you away. 4. I've contacted people already for the layout and have a fabulous start on the layout for this disc. It will be funky, cool, and eco-friendly all at the same time. The staff at CD duplication, CD replication, manufacturing, SACD, DVD CD-ROM duplication by Oasis again rise to the challenge! This project is truly a team effort thanks to all of you great fans! Stay tuned for a quick sound clip and video in the next few days from the session. As always you can stay tuned to my website listed below for all the details! Keep on Keepin' on! -T
