Bob Florence Passes

From: ALEX ILES

Subject:Bob Florence
I am very sad to report the passing of pianist, composer, arranger
and bandleader Bob Florence. He died this afternoon after a long
illness. He was a brilliant and dedicated musician who never stopped
searching for ways to express emotions through music.
Those who knew him and his music have lost a great friend.
Best wishes,
Alex Iles

Re: Bob Florence Passes

Just saw this. Another of our greats has left the room. We used to play his wonderful chart "I'm Getting Cement All Over You" as our opener when I was doing a regular big band gig a few tears back. He had a real personal stamp you could recognize right away. I'm grateful for all he left us, but he'll be sorely missed. Best wishes to his friends and family.

Peace,
Chas Reskin
