I was NOT happy with the lousy mixing on the whole CD.

Wonderful playing! In our days this would be written one (maybe two?) octaves higher...

Spectacular! Thanks for sharing. Is that you in the pic? Good to hear the original lyrics. Two guys in our band take turns doing it. We give the nod to (and, of course, change slightly) the Maynard version. While we are aware of Bunny in a scholarly sort of way, it's the one on "Chameleon" that we heard first and grew up with.

A.N.A, Good to see a couple of shots of Bunny with his 12B Coprion!

    Very nice, Chuck!!!!!
Nothing is more contagious or tenacious than music. Once you are exposed it gets inside you and you can never get rid of it. It is also non-discriminating. It can be Ride of the Valkyries, In a Gadda da Vida, the Jeopardy 15 second thinking tune, your most disliked commercial jingle - it doesn't matter. Once triggered, off you go, like it or not.

    Re: Bunny

I wasn't able to attend the festival in Bunny's honor, but here's a sample, with lots of wind noise hitting the mikes. You can find an indoor performance of "I Can't Get Started" on YouTube by the same band at the same festival; just look. And, for ANA's benefit, he's playing an Olds (a "The Olds" cornet).

Vintage Olds and Reynolds and Selmers, yes sir, yes sir, two gazoos full.
