![]() ![]() | Chase Sanborn at ITG (and others) Nobody has mentioned it so I am. Chase Sanborn gave another excellent clinic at the ITG conference. He even touched on the cheeseburger clinic I heard him give in the past. You can get a CD of the clinic at this web site: Home A single CD is $17.00 each. You couldn't do better unless you were there. Order number ITG7033 for Chase Sanborn masterclass. Ingrid Jensen is ITG7011 Wayne Bergeron master class ITG7016 I hope this helps those of you who could not attend. I saw Chase at the airport and he looked worn out. I didn't bother him.

![]() | Re: Chase Sanborn at ITG (and others) On Saturday at ITG, Chase told me that he sold way more merchandise than he had expected. In fact, I paid him for one item that he is mailing to me because he ran out. I think it turned out to be a very successful conference for him & I expect that he was pretty beat. I know a couple of the other exhibitors indicated that they were just plain exhausted. Chase's ideas are great, but it is his passion to teach others that really comes through. That is something that I really appreciate. pat |

![]() | Re: Chase Sanborn at ITG (and others) Wayne's master class was great. He is a very funny and entertaining guy. He's also pretty humble And, we all know that he can play. To me, some keys were him just talking about things that work for him. One of his comments - if I may paraphrase - was that he would love to tell us that he built his range in a slow and methodical way using dictated exercises over a long period of time. But, the reality is that he had a double high C in 7th grade. He talked at length about many things in his breathing and embouchure that were poor and how he has worked on them over the years to become more consistent. Still - he had a double high C in 7th grade!!! He also told an amusing story about how he ended up on his Marcinkiewicz Shew 1.5 mouthpiece. It was his wife's. Yes, she is a trumpet player too. She suggested he try it, so he did. Then, he went to a gig and forgot to put his back in the case. He played. He liked it. He kept it. |

![]() ![]() | Re: Chase Sanborn at ITG (and others) He told us that to get his chops problrm worked out he uses the Maggio Method. He mentioned he gets more lip under the mouth piece. I have been working the Maggio method for years and was glad to finally hear it from a pro. Most people who are really good use the Maggio Method. It is nothing new. Only a description that helps people communicate.
