I live southeast in Norway in a city called Tønsberg (Vestfold) right at the Oslo fiord. Originally I come from the midwest though. The culture scene regarding jazz isn't bad at all actually. There are several jazz clubs in the area, and there are some excellent local talents as well. Don't know if you've heard about Mathias Eick for instance. Nature wise it's very norwegian with fiords and woods. Not so much mountains in this area though. Beatiful scenery really. Actually Lars (which Larson is derived from) is a family name and a part of my ancestry took the name Larson over 150 years ago. Both my father and grandfather is called Lars. There are many Larsons and Larsens in Norway though. Geir

![]() | Re: Check this out please! Geir - How cool! the island I grew up on in America is called Mount Desert Island or named Island of the Deserted Mountains in French. We have THE only natural Fiord on the east coast of the United States called Somes Sound. Carved by a glaicer (sp), it is by far the most beautiful place in my home. My father is a fisherman, and constantly aware of where he came from. Thanks for the description of your home. It means a lot to me. If at any time you get the chance, please share some pictures with us. So often we talk with people from across the world on this forum and yet we never fully understand where they are from. Wouldn't it be nice to really feel and see where your online friends are from? I think so! Thanks and peace Matthew |

![]() | Re: Check this out please! Well done. This is a nice sounding recording too... Really captures your tone very well and keeps it mellow. Nice work by the engineer for sure. All is very balanced. Really is a classic sound and feel. Way to go...
