![]() ![]() | Clark's in the hospital I don't know if anyone else has heard but CT has been in the ICU in Kansas City for the past few days. He's going to be OK (phew) and will be moved out of the ICU shortly. I'm trying to call him but haven't been able to get through just yet. Please keep him in your thoughts and let's all pray for a speedy recovery. I'll let everyone know how he's progressing when I find out. -T |

![]() | Re: Clark's in the hospital Clark Terry has relatives in St. Louis. If I hear something on the radio or TV I'll post. The TV stations aren't hip enough to know anything but WSIE radio will know. Trent, keep us up to date. |

![]() ![]() | Re: Clark's in the hospital Hey guys, The latest I've heard is that he's out of the ICU unit and in a private room. He had a mild heart attack on Friday and they had to put one stent in. I don't think he's out of the woods yet as he's 87... even a "mild" heart attack is a HUGE thing. If you go to his website (Clark Terry) and to the news section you can send "get well wishes" to him. His friends and family will read each one and I'm hoping you all take a few moments to send him a get well note. Here's the direct link: Get Well Wishes for Clark Terry - Jazzcorner's Speakeasy Until I hear more news let's keep our spirits up for CT! -T |

![]() ![]() | Re: Clark's in the hospital Jazz man’s condition improves Trumpeter Clark Terry, who took ill last week, was upgraded Friday to fair condition, but his family said he’s feeling better and may be going home soon. The 87-year-old jazz legend was moved out of the University of Kansas Hospital’s cardiac intensive-care unit and into a regular room, said his wife, Gwen Terry. He even had fun with his doctors Friday morning, demonstrating how a wind musician “circular breathes” — that is, plays a note nonstop while breathing in and out. “God couldn’t have picked a better place for Clark to be,” his wife said. www.kansascity.com | 05/09/2008 | Jazz man’s condition improves |
