doubling on bone/bass trumpet

Anyone here double on valve trombone/bass trumpet?

I just got one and am trying to figure out a plan for a practice routine that won't seriously throw my trumpet chops out of whack.

Have you seen the John Hagstrom article about playing bass trumpet? that might help you out.

I think he recommends short practice sessions no more than 15 mins a day for many months, if not years.
